Cutting machines, also known as guillotines or paper trimmer, are durable, programmable cutting machines used to cut a large set of paper sheets at once with a straight edge. Guillotines vary in size and are usually quite heavy, as the paper needs to remain in position while being cut. Guillotines are equipped with a clamp that secures the paper in a stack and a back gauge to control the position of the cut by positioning the stack. The cutting blade shears the paper, at one side of the stack.
