My name is Ronald Mekes and I am the founder and CEO of Mekes Graphic Machinery. I was born in 1962 and I am married with Edith. Together we have two daughters, 2 granddaughters and 3 grandchildren.
When and why did you start Mekes Graphic Machinery?
I started Mekes Graphic Machinery in 1985 with the challenge to be an entrepreneur. The graphic industry has always been in my blood. My grandfather used to attend the Graphic School in Utrecht in 1920. My father, uncles and cousins all have something with this industry so I had to check it out!
What makes your work so much fun?
Making people happy with beautiful and good machinery, where all parties are happy with the deal, a so called win-win scenario. And of course working with international contacts who all have their own culture, makes it a lot of fun!
What is the greatest success you have achieved at Mekes?
That I may do this work together with my wife and our top team at Mekes.
